This past weekend was the best I've had in a very, very long time. Joe came down to Philly to visit as a late birthday/Valentine's Day present. We mostly just stayed in and spent time together since we hadn't seen each other since I came back to school from winter break. However, we did go out to dinner at Dave & Buster's for Valentine's Day.
My mom and sisters missed their flight to Florida, so they drove down to catch a flight out of the Philly airport. I got to see them for about an hour before I had to go to class, and I get to see Joe again next weekend when I drive her car back home.
I've been casually watching the Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Joe and I watched the Opening Ceremony together on Friday night. I have since watched men's luge, women's moguls, men's biathlon, men's snowboard cross, men's speed skating, and a few figure skating events. I have a bad feeling that they're going to end up being a very good procrastination tool over the next few weeks.
Legal Environment of Business this morning went about as well as it usually does. I have yet to learn anything new in the four weeks that I have been attending class, since all our temporary professor has covered was material I learned in my Law Seminar course that I took during my Junior year of High School. Our actual professor was out for 6-8 weeks for minor surgery, so he should be back by the time we come back from spring break. Hopefully he will make the course more interesting than it is now.
Calculus III was uneventful as well. We are studying calculus as applied to vectors. At least my professor is entertaining (he is Japanese, and so says his "oo" syllables in a very interesting way. he also bumps into classroom furniture as he is teaching, and writes almost every word he says on the board). Our first midterm is next Tuesday.
Italian II also went by smoothly. We discussed leisure activities. Our first exam is on Friday.
On a last note before I return to homework and the Olympics, it is snowing... again. Luckily this time we're only supposed to get about an inch (as opposed to the 28" and 18" that accumulated in two separate blizzards last week).
Peace ॐ
